Our Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a vital part of our physician surgical team. Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses with continued advanced academic and clinical education who then must pass the national examination to become board licensed medical professionals that are able to diagnose, treat, and manage most medical conditions either independently or as part of a health care team.
Nurse Practitioners may choose to specialize further such as in Orthopaedic Surgery, who then collaborate with their physician team to perform physical examinations and formulate non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, assist in surgery, manage pre/post operative patient care, interpret diagnostic testing and imaging, write prescription medications, and provide long-term illness management. Our Nurse Practitioner’s innate compassion and ability to communicate with patients and family members solidifies our practice mission to provide unsurpassed orthopaedic care.
